An angel came to Mary, the young girl, and told her about God’s plan. God chose her to bring Jesus into the world. She said, “I am the Lord’s servant! Let it happen as you have said.” We should try to answer like Mary when God gives us something to do. No matter how young or old we are, God will help us be good and faithful servants.
What are some big needs in your town or school? How can you help? Can you be a helper at home, in your school, in your church, or in your neighborhood? Maybe you can work with someone in your family and find a way to help together.
One of the best ways to serve God is to tell others about Jesus. Who can you invite to a church service? Share the good news that Jesus came to bring us closer to God.

- Make people smile, and write some cards for those who live alone.
- Build a connection with a neighbor by doing something special with your family, such as cleaning up their front yard, shoveling their driveway, or leaving special treats for their pets.
