1. Hebrews 4:13 says that God sees everything! Have you ever tried to hide things from God? Why would people want to hide things from God?
2. In Jonah 1, God tells his prophet Jonah to go to Nineveh—the capital city of Israel’s enemy, Assyria. God wanted Jonah to tell the people there to repent from their sins. Jonah did not want to go there. He did not want to help these people receive God’s forgiveness. So Jonah decided to run away from God!He jumped on a ship and headed in the exact opposite direction.He tried to hide from God in a ship in the middle of an ocean. But God saw what he was doing and redirected Jonah back to Nineveh in an amazing way! As you listen to this episode, think about why hiding our sins just never works!

In this episode, Liz was torn between telling the truth and keeping his crew chief’s secret. And you know what? We all do the same thing! Even in the Bible, we see lots of stories about people trying to hide things from God. But you can’t fool God.
What about you? Do you have any secrets? Are you carrying any hidden sin around? Hidden sins are heavy and hurtful, and they aren’t really even hidden! God sees everything, and our secrets aren’t hidden from him. What should you do? Tell God right away. Ask for his forgiveness and for his courage to tell others what you did and accept the punishment. Living out in the open is the best way to live!
