Theme: Worshiping God/ Jesus the Savior
1. Talk about a time when God changed, helped, or healed you.
2. Through this story, the man who was healed is threatened and even put on trial for being healed. As you listen to this episode, think about how brave he was to tell his story and be thankful to God.
A: False. They wanted to punish the man for what he said.
The Bible says that one day, as Jesus walked along, he saw a man who had been blind since birth. His disciples didn’t really see the man. All they saw was a story that they could talk about. They saw his blindness. They saw that he was begging. They wondered who they could blame for it all.
Jesus saw past the problem, the labels, and the blame. He saw the person: the person created in God’s image.
Maybe you feel stuck, like something is holding you back. Maybe there’s a label that hurts you or a heavy problem that feels too big. Please know that God sees you. God knows you, and he doesn’t turn away. He even sent his Son to save you from all sin.
In the story, the disciples are the ones who are blind in a different way. They only saw the man’s problems. They didn’t see the person. Jesus saw the person and the chance for God to do something amazing. The disciples and others didn’t see Jesus as the healer, the savior, or the one who gives. They were blind in their hearts to what Jesus could do for them.

This week, look at every person you meet as someone who is created in the image of God and is a child of God. Will you see them differently? How will you treat them differently? When there’s a problem, how will you talk to the other person differently, knowing they are God’s children?
