My dog is the most faithful friend I’ve ever met. He was a stray who followed us home one day and never left. Even if he got out of the house, he would stay right by the door or gate, waiting to be let back in. When I came home, he was always there, wagging his tail. If someone in our family were sick, he would sit by them. He was always with us, no matter what.

That’s what faithfulness looks like: being loyal and trustworthy. My dog was a great example of this, but God is the best example of faithfulness! He never leaves us, no matter what we do or where we go. The Bible is full of stories showing God’s faithfulness. Think about Adam and Eve, Noah, Daniel, and David. God never gave up on them. And he never gives up on us!

The biggest proof of God’s faithfulness is Jesus. God loves us so much that he sent Jesus to save us so we can live with him forever. That’s pretty amazing! Knowing that God will never leave us brings us comfort every day.

God also wants us to be faithful to others. That means being a good friend, sticking with people through happy and hard times, and being trustworthy. Sometimes people might let us down, but faithfulness means we don’t give up on them. It’s not always easy, but with God’s help, we can be faithful just like he is.

God is always there for us. Because he is faithful, we can learn to be faithful too!

Prayer

Faithful God, thank you for never leaving us. Help us love you more and more each day. Help us be faithful friends and family members each day. Amen.
