Devotions for Supporting Children in Divorce
When I faced an unwanted divorce, the deepest pain I felt was for my two very small children. Their little lives were about to be turned upside down. Thankfully, I found support in my church, letting me see God at work in my children’s hearts more than I’d ever seen before.

A Heart for the Hurting. Helping a friend who is hurting does not mean you have to know all the “right” things to say. A friend in pain needs your presence more than your words.
God is in Control - Not Us. No problem is too big for God. He may or may not fix things exactly the way that we want, but he promises to be with us and work things for our good.
Speaking the Truth in Love. Our feelings can build up so much that it feels like we are going to burst! Talking about our feelings with God and with others can relieve some of the pressure we're feeling.
God's Love is Already There. When changes in your family leave you feeling hopeless, who do you turn to for comfort? God knows all your fears and sadness. He promises to walk alongside you, whatever you’re going through.
