Which of these fun Bible facts do you think is the coolest?

  • Methuselah, the oldest man in the Bible, lived to be 969 years old! (Genesis 5:25-27)
  • Goliath was over 9 feet tall, but a young boy named David defeated him with just a slingshot and a stone! (1 Samuel 17)
  • There’s a talking donkey in the Bible (Numbers 22).

Pretty awesome, right? The Bible is full of amazing stories. But here’s a very important fact about the Bible that you need to know: the Bible is one big story.

Romans 10:17 says that faith comes from hearing the message. So what’s the message? And who is it about?

The Bible is the story of God and his people. Let’s look at those cool facts again:

Every Bible story points to the biggest story of all: God’s plan to save the world. Sin broke the world, but God sent Jesus to fix it. Sharing this amazing story helps grow our faith—and the faith of others too!

Prayer

Dear God, thank you for the Bible and its amazing stories! Thank you for sending Jesus to fix what sin broke. Help us to love your story and share it with others. Amen!
