6 Children's Devotions About Their Role in God’s Story
My greatest joys as a parent have been when my kids realized God loves them and that they are part of God’s story. He has a plan for their lives to use the gifts he has given them for his Kingdom. As they have grown, some have struggled with doubt about God, his love, and their place in his story. In my prayers for them, I recall God’s promises in his Word for my children. No matter where they are in their faith, they can remember that his Word has power: “That's how it is with my words. They don't return to me without doing everything I send them to do” (Isaiah 55:11 CEV).
Share the series of devotions below with your children to assure them of God’s great love for them and their place in God’s family as his children. These devotions are about humble people doing their parts in God’s story. Our kids have these same promises.
I'm Part of God's Story: God gave us his Word to make his promises clear and help us trust that we are part of his wonderful story.

Eutychus: Staying Connected and Alert: Eutychus once fell asleep during an all-night church service, fell out of a window, and died! But his fall is not the end of his story.
Naaman's Servant Girl: God's Power: We don’t know her name, but an enslaved girl far from home told Naaman about a prophet in Israel who could heal his suffering.
