6 Kids' Devotions About Reflecting God’s Creativity
We are creative because God is creative. Our creativity is one way we bear God’s image. I have five children, and most of them are grown now, but nothing makes me smile quicker than thinking about how creative each one of them is. As they grew and their talents began to shine, my wife and I shared with them how their creativity is a gift from God, and whenever they use that creativity, we see God’s creativity reflected back at us.
The six children’s devotions below help kids recognize their creativity as a reflection of God’s creativity. Our children can use their gift of creativity to tell God’s story.
Creativity in Action: God—who created everything—gave all of us the beautiful gift of creativity. The best thing you can do with that gift is to use it.
I Wonder: Jesus’ friends were filled with wonder when they witnessed his miracles and teachings. Next time you read or listen to a Bible story, try hearing it with wonder.
Imagine When…: How do you like to use your imagination? When we imagine how Jesus described the kingdom of heaven, it helps us live more like Jesus now.
Courageous Creativity: Everything God made reflects his creativity—including you! God chose you to share his gift with the world uniquely and creatively!
Created To Create: God created you to be creative like him, so no matter how unimaginative you might sometimes feel, you can still go out and make things yourself.
Creative in Church: God loves it when you use your gifts to tell his story. Using your talents to give glory to God is a kind of worship.
