Christian Thanksgiving Resources for Kids and Families

November 15, 2024

Thanksgiving is my family’s favorite holiday. Well, okay, it’s my favorite holiday. My kids would definitely put Christmas at the top of their lists. I just love gathering with family and friends to share a big meal. I enjoy spending the day roasting the turkey and making my famous corn casserole. As we sit down to enjoy the feast, I’m struck with how much I have to be thankful for: a happy and healthy family and God meeting all our needs. But Thanksgiving is more than that. It’s not just what I’m grateful for or even what my family is thankful for; Thanksgiving is also about giving thanks to God all together as a community. How do we, as parents, model for our children what it means to have thankful hearts as individuals and as part of a wider community?

The Kids Corner resources listed below can help you do just that. You will also find a few resources from our sister programs at ReFrame Ministries, such as Today, Family Fire, and the ReFrame Prayer Ministry.
