Devotions to Help Your Children Build a Relationship with God

Devotions to Help Your Children Build a Relationship with God

December 17, 2025

Perhaps the best way to teach children that they can have a personal relationship with God is to model for them our own relationship with God. Let your kids see you pray and read your Bible. Share about the ways you see God active in your life and theirs. Someday, your kids must take ownership of their faith and how they relate with God. Our faithful example as parents helps them see that God loves us and speaks to us on a daily basis.

Read these devotions together as a family to encourage your children in their personal relationships with God. You can also listen to them on our website or your favorite podcast platform.

No Separation from God. The love of God is like a strong magnet. Nothing can separate you from his love, no matter what happens.

Listen to God. Have you ever heard God speak to you when you read the Bible? How do you listen to God?

God is Our Protector. Sometimes, we can forget about God’s protection. The Bible assures us that God is our ultimate protector.

God Likes You. You might think that God just loves you because, you know, being God, he has to. But the Bible says God not only likes you, he really likes you.

God Is With You. No matter where you hide, how far you run, or how bad you feel, God will always be there. He will never leave you nor forsake you.

God Is Here! God said that he would be with Joshua “wherever” he would go. We have that same promise from God. God is with us wherever we go.
